What does Verified mean on CareerFusion?
You've landed here because you clicked a Verified badge on a student's profile, in a search result, or on our marketing site. Every Verified badge on CareerFusion looks the same and says the same two things at a glance: the confidence tier behind it, and the date it was last confirmed current. This page explains exactly what each of those means — no login required.
The four confidence tiers
A student can hold different tiers on different skills at the same time. Tiers are never inferred from each other — each one has to be earned on its own.
The student added this themselves. Nothing has been checked by a third party yet — it's a claim they're standing behind.
The student's university or training provider assessed the work and graded it as part of an accredited programme.
A named workplace supervisor, client, or mentor confirmed they saw the student do this — on the job, on a placement, or on a live brief.
A CareerFusion audit reviewer, unconnected to the student and their institution, spot-checked the evidence and signed it off.
Why the date matters
The date shown on the badge is when the underlying evidence was last confirmed current — not when the badge was first awarded. Skills decay, tools change, and yesterday's projects age. If the date looks stale to you for the role you're hiring for, that is a fair question to raise with the student directly.
